  • What are your rates?

    The Editing Marketplace provides a suggested price for each editing job. The suggested price is based on multiple factors (writer experience, turnaround time, etc.). However, individual editors can set their own rates, and writers have the ability to negotiate pricing within the platform. Once you both agree, the project will proceed.

  • How fast are the turnaround times?

    You will present your ideal turnaround times for each round of edits. This gives you more flexibility. Let me explain: If you want 3 back-to-back edits ALL THE SAME DAY (that’s right - I’m talking an editing VIP day people), you can ask for that. Or if you’re working on a long-term project with predictable, repeating deadlines, then you can set that up directly with the editor, and it will be added to The Editing Marketplace platform by the admin team. The Editing Marketplace was designed to be flexible so you can find the support you need to make your copywriting career flourish.

  • You say that, as a writer, I will request “the scope of the edit,” what does that mean?

    The scope of the edit is how thoroughly the copyeditor reviews the copy, the type of feedback given, and the amount of analysis. Don't worry - this is covered in the Writer Welcome & Onboarding Course.

  • Is there a way I can schedule edits on an ongoing basis?

    Yes, simply set up the details with an editor and we will upload the repeating work to the platform.
